realizing that i’m a lesbian suddenly made me feel so much more confident about my fashion sense. i can wear a beanie and a shirt and weird trousers and sunglasses and not feel bad about it. i can wear mismatched clothes with a jacket that’s too big and not style my hair and not feel ashamed because men think i’m not attractive. i don’t care. i’m a lesbian and fuck you.

I fucking HATE weeaboos
A bunch of them came to our Koreatown today in full cosplay - girls were wearing “lolita” style dresses, traditional Japanese clothing, etc. That’s not bad on it’s own, but when you go into a place with a ton of Koreans dressed in Japanese street fashion when there is a ton of anti-Japanese sentiment in Korean (even Korean diaspora) communities because of Japanese imperialism, people are not going to be happy.
And I get that most people don’t know this, and I’m not going to blame them for their ignorance. But then they started walking around and speaking butchered Japanese to random Korean people and acted like we were some sort of fucking zoo animals. At one point someone called a little Korean girl “kawaii” and said “ahaha I’m her senpai!!” when the little girl waved.
Then they went into the Korean coffee shop, said loudly, “LOOK AT ALL THE JAPANESE SNACKS!” (even though… there aren’t any Japanese people… within a 15 mile radius…) and pestered the poor workers with their butchered Japanese/English and complained when they said they didn’t speak Japanese.
It’s just. Why the fuck would you do that?? Why would you go somewhere with a lot of non-Japanese Asians, do racist shit like lumping all of us with Japanese people and exotifying us as if we’re some sort of interesting exhibit in a museum of “magic fuckery”, and make US feel awkward and wrong in a place MEANT FOR US?
This is why I hate weebs. They’re racist piece of fetishizing shits who can’t treat Asians as people. I honestly don’t understand why so many people feel the need to *reclaim* (I can’t think of the proper term for it right now but that’s the closest word I can come up with right now) the word “weeb” and use it to refer to themselves ironically. Why do you WANT to be lumped with these racist, condescending people? Weebs are the most annoying people I’ve ever met and I don’t get why everyone on this site likes to compare themselves to racists.
I’m seeing a lot of people reblog this with shit like “this is what a real weeb looks like” and “I call myself and other people weebs but I don’t mean it like that” “i’m completely fascinated by east asian culture and i call myself a weeb but i don’t fetishize people and i see asians as humans” and a ton of other excuses for calling yourselves a weeaboo and I just want to say
You’re not exempt from this.
If you’re going to call yourself a weeaboo, you don’t get to reblog this post with a pitiful excuse and a “but I’m not racist so it’s okay to use it!!”/”it’s for irony!!” The term weeaboo is associated with cultural appropriation, racism, exotification, fetishization, orientalism, yellowface, infantilization, dehumanization and a shit ton more. You don’t get to use it and then claim you’re not “one of THOSE people” because even if you aren’t directly harming us you’re still normalizing a word that racists use. You’re associating yourself with these racists and that can make people think this kind of behavior is acceptable.
The word weeb has always had racist connotations and using it ironically isn’t going to change that, especially when the people the term is harming aren’t the ones reclaiming it.
there are still womens lands all over the country that r active and thriving and i can’t wait to go to as many as i can!
like i see so many of us talking abt wanting to be on womens land or lesbian farm. these already exist and have existed for a long time which is really cool & i want all of us to be able to experience being there at least once
Is there some sort of online index or place you can send to for a magazine that lists them?? Google isn’t really helping me. I keep getting family ones full of dudes :/
tbh looking good is nice but im sick of womens fitness being centered around being “sexy” or having an “amazing butt”
being sexy and having a nice butt is cool pero I want womens fitness to be more functional, about what we can achieve with our bodies regardless of looks
Progressive lesbophobes will talk about an abstract metaphysical idea of what it means to be a woman before the acknowledge womens’ lives realities
Libfems twisted what Feminism means so much that you got people genuinely upset at seeing mentions of female anatomy at a womens march and shocked that women don’t want to censor the converstion around our reproductive rights…yikes
Cherno Biko blocked me on twitter for pointing out that rapists should not speak at Womens’ events.
I can’t…. Believe… Teenagers on this site think that womens rights are so obscene. What kind of privileged ass bored as fuq white suburban brat bullshit???? Can all middle class white ppl sit your unnecessary asses down
womens march isn’t even about women anymore because who cares about who this movement should actually be for anyway right #DayWithoutAWoman more like #DayWithoutAWomanSoFeminineMenCanBeTheStarOfAMovementThatTheyDon'tEvenNeedToBeAPartOf
And the patriarchy wins again.
They’ve successfully destroyed feminism. Women can’t organize or have their own spaces. We can’t get away from men anymore. We can’t be independent. We can’t leave. In fact, we don’t even exist anymore. There’s just men and non-men.
when exactly have males been exploited for their labor or intellectual capital on the basis of their sex? anybody?
of course, we cant have anything to ourselves. anything that doesnt revolve around men is “bigoted” and “not inclusive”
trans women: we deserve to have a voice and to teach others about us terfs: eww trans"women" wanting respect is disgusting 😩😩
There are times and places to “teach others”. I wouldn’t presume to lecture an Asian woman about the Latina experience at a March they created.
But maybe that’s just my silly female socialization acting up and all!
